Yes. Every suggestion for amendment is based on what is supported in the patent specification. We believe in evidence-based research because that what all is needed.

Suggestions for claim amendments are good, but will it pass through the examiner’s scrutiny?

It will, the reason is – we carefully craft the claim amendments keeping in mind that it can overcome the rejections provided by the examiner during prosecution of the other granted patent in the family.

Claim amendments were granted, but now they are not overlapping on the target product.

That won’t happen.

Well prosecution of the newly amended claims could be really daunting?

Not Really. Partly because we craft claims amendments while keeping in mind not to touch the novel aspect of the already granted patent. It makes it easier for the examiner to grant the claims since the already identified references (examiner cited references for the already granted family member) will not be any threat.
