GreyB conducted a comprehensive reverse engineering teardown of the LCD TV to isolate the relevant optical film and conduct a detailed analysis:
- Teardown Analysis: Disassembled the TV and isolated the Brightness Enhancement Film (prism film).
- Microscopic Examination: Conducted microscopic analysis at 1000x zoom, measuring the angles, sides, and pitch of the microstructures.
- Light Interaction Testing: Used laser tests to study how light scattered when interacting with the microstructures, helping us understand how the optical properties overlapped with the client’s patent.
