Objective: Patentability Searches are conducted to identify references that may preclude novelty or non-obviousness of an invention during the patent examination process. GreyB focuses to identify prior art that is tangent to the novelty of the invention.
Methodology: The search is conducted based on specific and novel aspects that the invention. Patentability searches typically include U.S. and international patents, published patent applications, and non-patent literature. The services are provided by experienced and trained analysts with experience in performing patent searches on patent databases such as Delphion/Micropat/Derwent and non-patent databases such as IEEE, ACM, and Science Direct etc. All the identified references are manually analyzed and relevant references are documented in the report. Deliverables: GreyB provides a detailed report containing a list of patent and non-patent references with relevant section from each reference. A separate section containing IPC/US patent classes, Keywords and Databases covered is also provided in the report. We also prepare reports in the Accelerated Patent Examination format.
